The Sanibel Jazz Society donated a $1,000 check to Florida Gulf Coast University's (FGCU) Bower School of Music. Founder Amy Sbarra reported that the funds were proceeds from the first-ever Sanibel Summer Jazz Concert Series held on Fridays in July at her Spatini Teabar on Sanibel.
