South Seas serves up Thanksgiving feasts, plus holiday fun on Captiva Island
South Seas is taking the cooking and cleanup out of Thanksgiving with a family-style holiday feast at Harborside and a festive buffet at Beach House on Thursday, Nov. 26, along with a weekend of activities including trivia, tie-dye, poolside bingo and a silent disco.
At the resort’s Italian steakhouse-inspired restaurant overlooking Yacht Harbour Marina, guests can gather in gratitude over turkey, seasonal sides and desserts, complemented by wine specials.
Harborside’s family-style feast begins with heirloom apple and butternut squash bisque and a holiday crunch salad with cran-raspberry vinaigrette. For the main course, the restaurant will serve carved hickory smoked turkey breast and turkey leg confit alongside focaccia and wild rice stuffing, green bean and wild mushroom casserole, cranberry-orange relish, whipped garlic potatoes and sweet potato soufflé. Pumpkin cheesecake and bourbon pecan pie round out the meal.
At Beach House, known for its unobstructed panoramic views of Sunset Beach, guests can gather with family and friends for a Thanksgiving buffet of holiday favorites in a breezy indoor-outdoor setting.
The Beach House buffet starts with whipped goat cheese and butternut squash soup, along with an autumn harvest salad and a roasted beet and burrata salad. Entrées include herb-roasted turkey and maple-glazed short ribs, served with whipped Yukon Gold potatoes, honey-glazed carrots and roasted Brussels sprouts. Pumpkin cheesecake is served for dessert.
Harborside’s Thanksgiving meal is priced at $95 per adult and $45 for children ages 4 to 12. Children 3 and younger eat free. Pricing for the Beach House buffet is $85.

• Nov. 26: Thanksgiving Day
The South Seas Recreation Team kicks off the weekend with a Thanksgiving suncatcher at 11 a.m., Thanksgiving trivia at 1 p.m., poolside bingo at 3 p.m. and parachute games at 5 p.m.
• Nov. 27: Friday activities
Guests can join tie-dye at 11 a.m. (additional fee), a sponge race at 1 p.m., poolside bingo at 3 p.m., a beach ball relay at 5 p.m. and a silent disco at 7 p.m.
• Nov. 28: Saturday activities
The day begins with aqua yoga and a Build a Beach Buddy turkey activity at 11 a.m., followed by a duck race at 1 p.m., poolside bingo at 3 p.m., hula hoops at 5 p.m. and Seaside Cinema at 7 p.m.
Weekend activities are complimentary for registered South Seas guests and Club Captiva members, with the exception of tie-dye. Events are subject to change due to weather or availability.
