1 min read

Captiva residents and stakeholders are welcome to attend a community meeting to learn about Lee County Natural Resources’ Captiva Island Stormwater Study at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, at the Captiva Civic Center, at 11550 Chapin Lane.

The meeting format will involve a 5:15 p.m. presentation followed by time for residents to look at maps and discuss specific locations or receive answers to questions. Lee County Natural Resources staff and the study consultant will be available. The meeting will conclude by 6:30 p.m.

The presentation during the meeting will cover the scope of the study. Comment cards will be available for residents to provide feedback that may be incorporated into the draft of the study. A final version will be complete by the end of the calendar year.

The study was produced using Community Development Block Grant — Disaster Recovery funds allocated to Lee County after Hurricane Ian.

Residents with questions can contact Natural Resources Operations Manager Phil Gillogly at 239-533-8109 or pgillogly@leegov.com.
