Joint Celebration of Life to be held
A joint Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Oct. 10, at 3 p.m. in the chapel at The Sanibel Community Church to honor the Rev. Dr. Edward VanderHey and Mrs. Barbara VanderHey. A reception will follow at The Fellowship Hall.
Both were very active residents of Sanibel until about 10 years ago when they moved to Shell Point. VanderHey was a pastor at SCC and they were both very active in FISH, The Rotary Club, the Senior Center, and they volunteered for just about everything on the island, including teaching Safe Driving classes for seniors at the Sanibel Recreation Center.
