Gilman Ciocia announces Tax Planning Workshop schedule

2 min read

Gilman Ciocia, Inc., a provider of federal, state and local tax planning and preparation services today announced its schedule of complimentary workshops taking place in Fort Myers during the month of July.

Workshops are designed to help individuals stay current on matters which may affect their financial future and offer easy-to-follow strategies for accumulating and preserving personal wealth.

Session facilitators explain the importance of planning one’s income taxes, rather than just preparing them. Key methods are outlined for maintaining and increasing personal wealth by way of tax planning.

Some of the topics covered are:

Understanding the federal stimulus package

Surviving in today’s economy

Recovering past taxes you may have overpaid

Avoiding probate and estate taxes

Increasing spendable income

Passing your IRA onto future generations

“The rapidly-changing world in which we live makes it extremely important for all individuals to pay attention to their money now more than ever,” said Michael Ryan, president and CEO of Gilman Ciocia, Inc. “Through our workshop events, Gilman Ciocia educates taxpayers that the minute they start thinking about income taxes as an expense, rather than just a fact of life, is the moment they will change their thinking about how they approach their taxes.”

The next workshops have been scheduled for July 22 and 29 at The Veranda, located at 2122 Second Street in Fort Myers. Each session will begin at 3 p.m.

The Gilman Ciocia tax planning workshops take place year-round in Fort Myers, as well as in other areas of Florida, New York, and New Jersey. Attendees enjoy a free lunch or dinner during the presentation. There is no obligation or purchase necessary to attend.

Individuals may sign up for the free workshops by visiting the company’s Web site at www.gtax.com/seminars or by calling 1-800-TAX-TEAM.
