SCCF issues monthly wildlife tracker
On Aug. 26, the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation’s (SCCF) Coastal Wildlife released its Coastal Wildlife Tracker for the month of August for the sea turtle and shorebird nesting season.
The results will be released on the last Wednesday of each month through October.
The SCCF noted that after sea turtle nesting season ends on Oct. 31, it will spend several weeks assessing the final season counts, along with expanded comparative data reflecting multi-year trends. In December, it will send out a final tracker for the 2026 nesting season, along with those trends.
