Sanibel FlyFishers holds event
The Sanibel FlyFishers held a Fly Tying Night on July 22 at the Sanibel Fly Outfitters on Sanibel. Master fly tier Ben Harvey walked attendees through two creative patterns. The first was the Sqibbster, designed by Pete Squibb. It is a full-bodied beach pattern that pushes plenty of water and is especially effective for snook, while also appealing to a wide variety of freshwater and saltwater fish. The second was the Glow Stick, a colorful spin on the Lightbulb pattern. Built for versatility, it is a particularly helpful choice when visibility is low and the water is dark or murky.
