Refuge provides update on WoW
The “Ding” Darling Wildlife Society-Friends of the Refuge (DDWS) reported that the J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge’s Wildlife on Wheels (WoW) team held summer camp the week of July 23 at Carrie D. Robinson Littleton Elementary in North Fort Myers. The camp focused on fish conservation, with students creating fish using coffee filters, markers and spray bottles. They learned they could help keep the seas safe for their fish neighbors by discarding or recycling trash. During the camp, the WoW teachers also read the book “The Odd Fish” to the students.
