Public speaking workshop series to wrap up
FISH of Sanibel-Captiva and the Sanibel Captiva Young Professionals (SCYP) will conclude their public speaking workshop series with a bonus session on Aug. 29 from 10 a.m. to noon at Florida Trust Wealth Management on Sanibel.
The third session will be “Make Resilience Your Competitive Edge.” It will be facilitated by Toastmasters International’s Naples Advanced Toastmasters Club, led by Distinguished Toastmaster Christine Cargnoni, along with a video presentation from resilience expert Dr. Henry Bowles.
“We are incredibly grateful to Naples Advanced Toastmasters for bringing this series to our community,” FISH Community Outreach and Resiliency Director Simon Robson said. “Their speakers have generously shared their expertise and created an environment where people feel comfortable learning and growing. Strong communication and resilience are skills that benefit every area of life, and this final session offers participants a chance to build both.”
Designed to leave participants motivated and ready to take on challenges with greater confidence, the workshop will focus on resilience, adaptability and mindset. They will learn how these skills can improve communication, leadership, career growth and personal success, while gaining strategies for staying confident under pressure.
The workshop will be an engaging and interactive experience that combines discussion, reflection and actionable takeaways. It is ideal for professionals, community leaders, volunteers, job seekers, business owners, students and anyone interested in building stronger communication skills.
