MOAA donates to A Field of Heroes

The MG James L. Dozier Lee Coast Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) donated $2,000 to the city of Sanibel’s A Field of Heroes initiative. Recreation Department Deputy Director Charlotte Durand accepted the check on behalf of the city. Commemorating the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on 9/11, the community tribute will feature 2,977 American flags — one for each life lost — that will be on display through Sept. 11 at the Sanibel Community Park.
