Junonia found on Sanibel

Luisa Wacker, 10, of Germany, found a junonia on July 29 at about 1 p.m. at Bowman’s Beach on Sanibel. It was her family’s second time vacationing in Florida this year. During their trip, they visited the Sanibel Lighthouse and Bowman’s Beach several times. Luisa and her sister spent a lot of time collecting seashells. “She is very proud of her find and enthusiastically tells the story to all her friends and acquaintances,” her parents said. They added that they are planning to come back next year. “We think the region and the ocean are absolutely beautiful,” her parents said.
