The Friends of Randy of Sanibel (FOROS) donated $10,000 to the Sanibel Sea School, part of the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation (SCCF), on July 12. It applauded the organization’s mission to instill youths with the knowledge and appreciation of coastal ecosystems in the hope that they will carry on protecting one of the world’s biggest resources. In addition, FOROS donated $100 gift cards on Aug. 5 for each school-aged child in Community Housing & Resources (CHR) to help families pay for back-to-school supplies. It also wished all the youths a great school year. The funds were raised at its 46th annual 4th of July Road Rally on July 4 at the Timbers Restaurant & Fish Market on Sanibel.
