CROW to hold volunteer training
The Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW) will hold its next Volunteer Orientation on Sept. 2 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Visitor Education Center, at 3883 Sanibel-Captiva Road, Sanibel. It will include an introduction to CROW’s mission and a behind-the-scenes tour of the Wildlife Hospital. It is recruiting volunteers for a variety of roles, with an immediate need in the center’s gift shop. Additional volunteer opportunities include rescuing wildlife, transporting injured animals, cleaning rehabilitation enclosures, feeding baby patients, doing laundry and dishes, grazing gopher tortoises, supporting special events, and performing general maintenance.
