The America’s Boating Club of Sanibel-Captiva recently visited the Children’s Education Center of the Islands (CECI) on Sanibel for a morning of learning, questions and boating-themed fun. Joined by members Ed Holden and George May, member and former Cmdr. Joanne Heroy-Giller read the “ABCs of Boating” to the students. It was followed with an interactive opportunity for the children to ask questions, float cork boats and learn simple, safety boating basics. The club thanked CECI for welcoming it and helping to create a meaningful community connection.
