Sanibel principal holds meet, greet
A Community Meet & Greet with new Principal Dr. Tom Millins was held on July 24 at The Sanibel School on Sanibel. Island families, residents, educators and community leaders had the opportunity to meet Millins, learn about his background and hear his vision for the future of the K-8 school. Millins introduced the school-wide theme, “Charting Our Course: Anchored in Family. Guided by Knowledge. Sailing Together.” He explained that his goals for the school are centered on four essential areas: academics, safety, community and family. Millins emphasized the vital role that the community will play in the school’s continued success. He concluded by highlighting the importance of partnerships with families. Also at the event, attendees learned about ways that they can support the school through the Parent Teacher Association (PTA), The Sanibel School Fund and volunteer opportunities.
