Refuge provides update on WoW

The “Ding” Darling Wildlife Society-Friends of the Refuge (DDWS) reported that the J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge’s Wildlife on Wheels (WoW) team recently spent two days at Ascend Transition Services in Cape Coral teaching about native Southwest Florida animals, including the sawfish, gopher tortoise and manatee. Last week, it spent three days at the Guadalupe Center summer camp in Collier County. On July 13, the WoW moved on to the Littleton Elementary School Camp in North Fort Myers through July 23 for nature mystery-solving and STEAM skills hands-on learning.
