The J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge on Sanibel reported that there is a new exhibit in the Children’s Garden at the Visitor & Education Center. Designed by former Supervisory Refuge Ranger Toni Westland, the Pollinator Pals Picnic encourages visitors to engage in the dining habits and other lifestyles of valuable pollinators in the ecosystem, including bees, bats, mosquitoes, butterflies, moths and hummingbirds. Youths can learn fun facts and even act out pollinator behaviors, from cues on how to sip nectar like a mosquito and glide like a moth.
