Love Sanibel Back will conclude on Aug. 3-9 with Week 10, themed “Celebrate Local Love.” Residents, visitors and businesses are invited to celebrate everything that makes Sanibel special — and to continue the spirit of the summer campaign after it comes to an end. Participants are encouraged to revisit their favorite local businesses, thank the people who make the island special, share favorite moments and photos from the summer, and give a shoutout to a local business, employee, nonprofit or community organization that has made a difference. They can also share their photos and stories on social media using #LoveSanibelBack. The culminating Love Sanibel Community Gathering will take place on Nov. 1 from noon to 2:30 p.m. at the Sanibel Recreation Center, at 3880 Sanibel-Captiva Road, Sanibel. Running from now through August, Love Sanibel Back’s 2026 theme is “Buy Local — Spread Joy — Give Back.” The community initiative is hosted by Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, in partnership with the city of Sanibel, SanCap Chamber, businesses, nonprofit organizations and community sponsors.
