Junonia found on Sanibel

Heidi Sparks, of Mattoon, Illinois, found a junonia on June 15 at about 7:45 p.m. at Lighthouse Beach on Sanibel. She was walking along the lines of seaweed up in the sand when she saw a tiny tip of the shell showing up out of the seaweed. “After digging a little with my hand, I was shocked and amazed to find a whole junonia!” Sparks said.
