FISH to launch Neighbor Network challenge
FISH of Sanibel-Captiva will host the Neighbor Network Community Challenge from Aug. 3-7, which invites the public to explore the islands and keep an eye out for Neighbor Network window stickers.
“One of the best parts of living and working on Sanibel and Captiva is the way businesses, nonprofits and neighbors support one another,” Executive Director Maria Espinoza said. “This campaign shines a light on those partnerships, while encouraging everyone to explore the community and learn more about the Neighbor Network.”
Spot a sticker displayed by a Neighbor Network business and snap a photo of it or the storefront, then share it in the comments on FISH’s Facebook page or email it to simon@fishofsancap.org to be entered for a chance to win a $20 gift certificate to The Magic Bus Ice Cream & Caffeine on Sanibel.
Participants should include the name of the business in their photo. When submitting via email also include full name, email, phone number and preferred method of communication. Participants are also encouraged to avoid including identifiable people in their photos whenever possible.
One winner will be selected at random on Aug. 10 and will be recognized by FISH on social media.
The Neighbor Network program connects businesses, organizations and community members with FISH, helping to ensure that people know where to turn when they or someone they know needs assistance. The participating businesses display the sticker as a sign that they support the community.
“Every Neighbor Network sticker represents a business that believes in looking out for others,” Community Outreach and Resiliency Director Simon Robson said. “This campaign is a fun way to introduce more people to the program, while recognizing the businesses that have joined us in creating a stronger, more connected community.”
No purchase or donation is necessary. Participants must be at least 18 years of age.
The campaign will end on Aug. 7 at 5 p.m.
