City launches new permit, rental platform
The city of Sanibel recently announced the launch of a new online special event permit and city facility reservation platform designed to make it easier and more convenient for residents, businesses, community organizations and event organizers to submit applications and manage requests online.
The new system, CivicPlus Process Automation and Digital Services (PADS), provides a streamlined, user-friendly experience that improves communication, increases accessibility, and creates a more efficient workflow for applicants and city staff.
“We are excited to provide residents, organizations and businesses with a more accessible and transparent permitting and reservation process,” Recreation Department Director Andrea Miller said.
Through the online portal, users can complete and submit applications digitally, upload required documents, receive real-time email notifications and updates, and communicate directly with city departments throughout the review and approval process.
Approved applicants will also receive digital event placards and have the ability to track application progress online.
One of the platform’s most convenient features is that users are not required to create an account to begin an application, allowing quick and easy access for residents, businesses and visitors.
The platform supports
– Special event permits
– Annual sidewalk sale permits
– City facility rentals
– Recreation Center room rentals
