On July 14, the Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW) on Sanibel reported that its rescued bobcat kitten patient recently received her nine-week vaccines, an important step in her rehabilitation journey. She was rescued from a brush fire in Charlotte County in May. Since arriving with a weight of just 1.3 pounds, the bobcat kitten has more than tripled that. CROW noted that vaccinations protect vulnerable orphaned wildlife as they grow, and limited human interaction prepares them for a future in the wild. If you find a wild animal in need of help, call CROW at 239-472-3644, ext. 222. For more information, visit www.crowclinic.org.
