Safe Harbor to hold monthly meeting
Formerly called Pink Harbor, the Safe Harbor support group will hold its next meeting on July 2 at 5:30 p.m. at the Sanibel Public Library, at 770 Dunlop Road, Sanibel.
Founded by the San Cap Pink Project, it rebranded the group to be inclusive of all cancer types.
Safe Harbor is intended for Sanibel and Captiva residents and employees, as well as their caregivers and loved ones. The free group welcomes survivors, fighters and caregivers and those whose life has been touched by cancer, where they can share openly, support one another and simply be understood.
Last month’s meeting included crafting with generously donated materials, offering a lighthearted and meaningful way for members to connect beyond their shared experiences.
The support group meets on the first Thursday of each month.
