Rotary awards district grant funds
The Sanibel-Captiva Rotary Club is helping to advance early childhood literacy in Southwest Florida through a Rotary District 6960 Literacy Grant, supporting the Children’s Education Center of the Islands (CECI) on Sanibel and The Children’s Learning Center in Fort Myers. The grants will fund initiatives that strengthen reading skills and expand access to educational resources for youths. The CECI hosted its Rotary Literacy Grant Book Drop-Off, providing new books and literacy materials to support early learning and classroom enrichment. The Children’s Learning Center is utilizing the grant funding to enhance its literacy programming, helping build a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
