Junonia found on Sanibel

Michael Ansay, of Lake Worth, found a junonia on May 30 at about sunset at Silver Key Beach on Sanibel. The first one that he has ever found, he spotted the shell in less than a foot of water. Carolyn reported that her husband and she were enjoying their vacation home on the island, which they purchased several months ago. “We celebrated our wedding on Sanibel nearly 30 years ago, and the island has been a special place for us over the years,” she added.
