SANIBEL PROMO VIDEO WINS AWARD

At the center of last year’s $80,000 marketing campaign promoting tourism and relocation to Sanibel, the video “Live. Work. Play.” won a Silver Telly Award in the General-Social Media category for the People’s Telly.

The SanCap Chamber and city of Sanibel joined forces to hire Simple Social of Fort Myers, the chamber’s publicity agency, to create and distribute it. The agency then entered the 30-second video into the 47th annual Telly Awards competition.

It succinctly describes island life to an up-beat with language like “It’s sunset every night and zero traffic lights.” The video appeared on social media platforms from mid-June through December.

The chamber and city voiced appreciation for their mutual partnership and thanked Simple Social on the successful campaign, as well as congratulated the team on the well-deserved recognition.

The Telly Awards recognizes excellence in video and television across all screens. Established in 1979, it receives over 13,000 entries globally. For the People’s Telly Awards, judges select nominees for the general public to vote for online.
