BIG ARTS on Sanibel is taking registrations for its 2026 Summer Youth Camps.

This year’s programming will offer kids hands-on exploration in fused glass, clay, painting, mixed media and more — led by talented local instructors in a fun, supportive environment.

“This summer, let your child’s creativity take center stage,” it reported.

The following camps are available in June:

– Glass Mosaics And More: June 22-26 from 10 a.m. to noon

Led by instructor Petra Kaiser, campers will have fun learning the art of fused glass. First, they will create projects like wind chimes, dishes, jewelry, wall hangings and more. As the projects are finished, Kaiser will take them home to fire in the kiln. The second project will be making two to three mini mosaics measuring 3-by-3 inches. On the last day of camp, there will be an Art Show from 11 a.m. to noon for family and friends to see all the beautiful artwork created. Open to ages 10-14. The cost is $100 for donors and $125 for non-donors.

– Bring Out Your Inner Picasso: June 22-26 from 10 a.m. to noon

Led by instructor Dana Nicloy, youths will learn how to create colorful clay masks inspired by the artist Picasso in this pottery camp. Using the “slab” method, campers will roll out a flat piece of clay to form the base of their masks. They will learn different techniques, such as scratch and slip, stamping, and coils, for attaching additional pieces like eyes, noses and mouths. Nicloy will encourage youths to explore their creativity by adding texture and decorative details using various tools, everyday objects and additional appliques. Campers will paint/glaze their masks, and after the artwork has been fired, they will add additional objects and embellishments to complete their masterpieces. On the last day of camp, parents are invited to join at 11 a.m. for an art showing. Open to youths entering 4-6 grades (ages 9-12). The cost is $100 for donors and $125 for non-donors.
