SPD officers earn life-saving recognition
The Sanibel Police Department (SPD) recognized Cpl. James Serrago and Officers Corey Martin and Ryan Murphy for their outstanding actions on April 12 during a life-saving response. Upon arrival, they found a man unresponsive and without a pulse. Serrago began CPR, with Martin assisting. Murphy arrived with an AED, allowing the officers to continue advanced life-saving efforts. Through their coordinated efforts, the man regained a pulse and resumed breathing before being transported to the hospital by Lee County EMS.
