Horse conch found on Sanibel

Kyle Conoscenti, of Glen Ellyn, Illinois, found a horse conch on March 14 in a sandbar near the Villas of Sanibel on West Gulf Drive on Sanibel. Grandparents Vince and Marilyn Conoscenti reported that he has been visiting the island since the early 2000s and has found many such shells. “But they always had a live critter in residence!” they said.
