FISH of Sanibel-Captiva will hold its next Friendly Faces Luncheon on June 9 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Sanibel & Captiva Islands Association of Realtors (SCIAR), at 2353 Periwinkle Way, Suite 201, Sanibel.

The featured guest speaker will be The Dubin Center Chief Executive Officer Christine LoConte. She will share insights on caregiving, Alzheimer’s awareness, and the growing need for support systems for aging adults and their families.

LoConte began her career at age 17 as a professional caregiver for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease. The experience shaped her lifelong commitment to supporting older adults and families facing dementia-related challenges. LoConte became chief executive officer of the center in July 2024. She holds a master’s degree in social impact.

“Caregiving can feel overwhelming for many families, especially when dementia or Alzheimer’s enters the picture. Christine brings both knowledge and compassion to this conversation,” FISH Senior Services Director Erika Arnowitz said. “This luncheon creates space for people to learn, ask questions, connect with others and realize they are not alone.”

A complimentary lunch will be provided by The Lighthouse Cafe.

Reservations are required by June 5.
