STUDENT VIDEOS WIN AWARD CATEGORIES
The School District of Lee County held the 2026 Lee County Student Film and Television Award ceremony on April 28 at South Fort Myers High School in Fort Myers.
More than 150 entries were submitted by hundreds of students from 24 schools.
Awards were presented in 13 categories across divisions for elementary, middle and high school.
Best in Show was awarded to: Tortuga Preserve Elementary for News Show (News Show), Cypress Lake Middle School for “Kung Fu Fighting” (Music Video) and Dunbar High School for “Digital Danger Protocol” (PSA). Also, the Lee Schools TV Choice Award was awarded to Gateway High School for “Clue-Less” (Short Film).
In the Elementary School division, students at The Sanibel School won the Instructional Video category with “How to Make Sheperd’s Pie” and the PSA/Promo category with “You Should Visit Bailey’s on Sanibel.”
