CIYC hosts art opening with music
The Captiva Island Yacht Club’s (CIYC) Visual Arts Committee hosted an Art Exhibit Opening on March 4. Attendees gathered to meet featured artist William Cantwell. Born in Philadelphia, he trained through studies at the Philadelphia Museum College of Art, School of Visual Arts, Parsons School of Design and Art Students’ League. The evening also featured a live performance by clarinetist Ismail Akmuradov, who leads the Music Foundation of Greater Naples. He has appeared with ensembles such as the Naples Philharmonic, Boston Ballet and New England Philharmonic.
