CIYC holds On the Water Day
The Captiva Island Yacht Club (CIYC) held an On the Water Day in mid-March. Members and their guests launched kayaks from the docks toward Blind Pass and the Gulf, while Sunfish sailors took to the water from the beach with assistance from the club’s Sailing Committee. Paddleboards were also available, and the club’s Marshall Sandpiper 15 sailed from the dock. Attendees could play corn hole, bocce ball and frisbee on the beach. CIYC Executive Chef Jarred Harris and his staff served a cookout buffet at noon, and the afternoon was topped off with live music by “Sandbar” Kenny.
