CECI to offer summer camp for youths
The Children’s Education Center of the Islands (CECI) will offer its “Summer Camp: Rooted In Wonder” from June 8 through July 31 at its campus, at 350 Casa Ybel Road, Sanibel.
Taking place on Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., every camp week will have a different theme. There will be visits from the Sanibel Sea School educators, librarian-led storytimes and activities, special field trip experiences brought to the campus, Friday water days and more.
The following camps still have openings:
-June 29 through July 3: Nature in Red, White and Blue
– July 6-10: Feathered Friends
– July 13-17: Nature Olympics
– July 20-24: Cooking with Nature
– July 27-31: Water in Nature: Splash & Discovery
Enrollment is open to ages 3-7.
Campers will need to bring a reusable water bottle and boxed lunch daily.
The cost is $250 per week, with a sibling discount available.
In addition, wrap-around care is available from 8 to 9 a.m. and 2 to 5 p.m. for $90 per week.
There are need-based scholarships for Sanibel-Captiva families and workforce.
