Boating club to offer free seminar
The Sanibel-Captiva Sail and Power Squadron is participating in National Safe Boating Week. It will present a free Marine Emergencies on Board Seminar on May 18 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Sanibel Public Library, at 770 Dunlop Road, Sanibel. Led by emergency room and cruise physician Carl Schultz, attendees will learn how to handle and be prepared should a medical emergency occur on land or in a boat. Additionally, the squadron will have a booth at Jerry’s Foods, at 1700 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel, on May 16 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to sign people up for the seminar, along with flyers and treats.
