Beer in the Bushes celebrates community
The Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation (SCCF) hosted its 12th annual Beer in the Bushes on April 4 at its headquarters on Sanibel. It featured craft beer, food trucks and live music, with the proceeds to support the SCCF’s mission to protect and care for Southwest Florida’s coastal ecosystems. The SCCF extended a big thank you to Wimmer Communities for serving as the presenting sponsor, as well as the Marcum Giving Fund for sponsoring of the world-class music. The HM Restaurant Group, which manages Doc Ford’s Rum Bar & Grille, the Dixie Fish Company and Bonita Fish Company, joined the top sponsors as a first-time Food Truck Alley Sponsor. The SCCF also extended its thanks to Gary and Kaye Pokrant as swingmaster sponsors for funding the swing dance troupe that contributed to the evening’s success.
