Sanibel Sea School camp registration to open

The Sanibel Sea School’s Summer Camp registration will open on April 11 at 10 a.m.

Taking place from June through August, the lineup will include: Sea Squirt weeks for ages 4-6, Island Skills weeks for ages 6-13, and Camps for Teens for ages 11 and older, which will consist of fishing, paddleboarding, kayaking, research experiences and overnight camping adventures. The Counselors in Training (CIT) Program will also be available for ages 13-17.

New this year, Sea Squirts will take place at the Children’s Education Center of the Islands (CECI), at 350 Casa Ybel Road, Sanibel. CECI will provide facilities and additional support staff, with new optional aftercare offered from 2-5 p.m. The camps for ages 6 and older will be held at the Sanibel Sea School’s Flagship Campus, at 455 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel, and the Homestead Campus, at 1300 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel.

The school offers a scholarship program, which is funded by donors. Those who need a scholarship should email sanibelseaschool@sccf.org before the registration opens on April 11. In the request, include the top three weeks of camp of interest, full names and ages of campers, and phone number.
