FISH to host monthly luncheon with speaker
FISH of Sanibel-Captiva will hold its next Friendly Faces Luncheon on April 14 at 11 a.m. at The Community House, at 2173 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel.
The featured guest speakers will be Community Housing & Resources (CHR) Deputy Director Becky Boyd and Executive Administrative Assistant Anna Johnson. They will present on “Who Is Community Housing (Affordable Housing) And Why Should It Matter To The Older Adults Of Our Community.”
Boyd helps lead organizational development, strategic initiatives and funding efforts that support affordable workforce housing and long-term community stability on Sanibel.
A Sanibel native, Johnson supports CHR’s leadership and board operations, while assisting with housing initiatives and community programs that help strengthen the island community.
“Programs like Friendly Faces remind us how important it is to simply spend time together,” FISH Senior Services Director Erika Arnowitz said. “Many neighbors live alone or have family and friends off island. Having a place where people can come together for conversation, a meal, and learning makes a real difference.”
A complimentary lunch will be provided.
Reservations are required by April 10.
