The Lee County Supervisor of Elections office reported that it began mailing renewal notices on April 20 to approximately 150,000 voters whose vote-by-mail requests have expired.

The notice reminds voters who requested a vote-by-mail ballot for the 2024 general election to submit a new request for the 2026 election cycle. Under Florida law, vote-by-mail requests expire after each general election.

Voters may update their requests online at lee.vote, by phone at 239-533-8683 or in person at any Lee County Elections office.

New vote-by-mail requests will be valid for the entire 2026 midterm election cycle, which includes the Aug. 18 primary and the Nov. 3 general election.
