CCA to wrap up Porch & Patios with last event
Tickets are available for the Captiva Civic Association’s (CCA) final event in a season series.
The CCA will hold its Cozy Up With Your Coozie Porch & Patio on April 15 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Captiva Civic Center on Captiva. The celebration will feature live music, food, drinks and more.
“Our Porch & Patios actually began decades ago as potluck events where everyone would bring a dish and share a beverage,” Board President Lisa Riordan said, noting that the gatherings evolved over the years to include musical entertainment. “It’s a chance for neighbors and friends to get together.”
This one will feature a special giveaway in line with the theme.
“We’ll have Protect Captiva coozies for people to take home,” she said. “We want people to have a little remembrance of their time on Captiva, whether they’re here as visitors or for the season.”
Entertainment will be provided by musician Douglas Coventry.
“We welcome him back,” Riordan said, noting that he has played for the CCA before.
Catering by Leslie Adams will serve up the food.
“Refreshments will be provided,” she added.
R.L.R. Investments is the sponsor for the 2025-26 Porch & Patio series.
“We’re very excited that R.L.R. is sponsoring our Porch & Patios for this season,” Riordan said. “They have been just wonderful in their support.”
Karen Bell and the Bell Team, with Michael Saunders and Company, is the CCA’s season sponsor.
“A big thank you goes to Karen Bell and the Bell Team, who have been our season sponsor for a couple of seasons now,” she said. “We thank them for their continued support of the work that we do.”
Tickets are free for members and $15 for non-members.
The community is invited to secure a spot.
“We’d love to see our neighbors before they begin to head north and west,” Riordan said. “And we want them to come out and share a good time with their friends and neighbors.”
