The J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge reported that the Bailey Tract parking lot on Tarpon Bay Road and boardwalk adjacent to the Ani Pond and Airplane Canal are scheduled to reopen after construction by the end of April. Most of the tract trails remain open during construction, accessible via the parking area adjacent to the Smith Pond on Island Inn Road. The refuge thanked visitors for complying with closure signage and barriers posted to protect human health and safety.
