Shell museum to offer class
The Bailey-Matthews National Shell Museum & Aquarium will host Now You See Them, Now You Don’t on April 7 from 10 11:30 a.m. at 3075 Sanibel-Captiva Road, Sanibel. Some shells on the island are rare to find, and leave beachgoers determined for decades to discover one of their own. Museum curator and Science Director Dr. José H. Leal will discuss various elusive shells on Sanibel and what makes them so hard to find. Afterward, participants will have a chance to explore the newly reopened Great Hall of Shells to find the mysterious shells. The cost is $60 for members and $75 for non-members.
