San Cap Pink Project to launch support group
The San Cap Pink Project announced the launch of Pink Harbor, with an inaugural meeting set for April 2 at 5:30 p.m. in the meeting room at the Sanibel Public Library, at 770 Dunlop Road, Sanibel.
A free support group, it is a safe, compassionate space where survivors, caregivers, fighters and those whose life has been affected by cancer of any kind can come together to share experiences, find encouragement and build meaningful connections. While the nonprofit organization has its roots in breast cancer awareness and support, Pink Harbor opens its doors to the full cancer community.
“Emotional connection and understanding are just as important as financial support,” San Cap Pink Project President Grace Murphy Robson said. “We believe that healing happens by creating community, and Pink Harbor was created to make sure no one on our islands faces this journey alone.”
At each meeting, attendees can expect a warm, judgment-free environment, shared resources, and the kind of genuine human connection that only comes from people who truly understand. The meetings are open to Sanibel and Captiva residents and employees, as well as their caregivers and loved ones.
The San Cap Pink Project is dedicated to serving the breast cancer and cancer-related needs of the Sanibel and Captiva community.
