The League of Women Voters (LWV) of Sanibel will host its next luncheon of the season on April 9 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Sundial Beach Resort & Spa, at 1451 Middle Gulf Drive, Sanibel.

“Free and Fair Elections: Busting Myths & Setting the Stage for the Mid-Terms” will feature Lee County Supervisor of Elections Chief Deputy Bernie Feliciano and her team. Attendees will hear how Florida runs its elections, and how elections are protected from voter fraud and potential outside influences. Information Technology Director Todd Pullman will address concerns about foreign hacking into the voting system, while Systems Administrator and Public Records Custodian Stephen Rumer and Communications Director Gaby Aguirre will also be present.

In addition, the league’s 2026 Annual Meeting will take place.

The cost is $35 per person and includes lunch. To honor young working fellow Sanibelians, the LWV of Sanibel is offering a reduced cost this season of $10 per person for those under the age of 40.

Payment by cash or check can be made at the door.
