Junonias found on Captiva

Bronson Buffum, 13, and Ryder Buffum, 11, both of Columbia Falls, Montana, each found a junonia on Feb. 18 near South Seas on Captiva. The boys went out early in the morning at low tide after the wind storm and found the shells about 100 yards apart. “They had just found out about the shells from a shell guild a friend gave us,” their parents said. “They were so excited!” It was the boys’ second time visiting the island.
