Sanibel library offers range of programs and topics
The Sanibel Public Library provides a variety of programming for adults and children.
With support from the Sanibel Public Library Foundation, it has launched a series of virtual author talks to include bestselling authors and thought leaders. The next one will take place on March 4 at 2 p.m. with New York Times bestseller Michael Perry, author of “Population: 485” and “The Jesus Cow.” He will talk about his collection of genre-spanning works.
Perry is also a humorist, corporate speaker, volunteer firefighter/first responder and amateur snowplow driver. A lifelong resident of the rural Midwest, his “reflective roughneck” takes on life in Middle America. A registered nurse who put himself through college working as a Wyoming cowboy and roller-skating Snoopy, Perry produces the audio newsletter “Michael Perry’s Voice Mail.” He also tours with his band The Long Beds and works as a script writer, voiceover artist and audiobook narrator.
