Junonias found on Sanibel

Warren Macy, of Greencastle, Indiana, found a junonia on Jan. 13 and a second one on Jan. 20 near the Gulfside City Park Beach on Sanibel. He reported that the first found him as it rolled up to his feet in shallow water moving over a sandbar, while he spotted the second junonia in a tidal pool. “We have been coming to Sanibel for 35 years and these are my first two whole ones,” Macy said.
