Junonia found on Captiva

Stephen Fozo, of Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan, found a junonia on Jan. 5 at South Seas on Captiva. Jennifer Fozo reported that her son spotted an interesting pattern in a cluster of seaweed and discovered the shell. “We were both incredibly excited,” she said. Fozo added that her family has been visiting the island for 35 years, and her children have always dreamed of finding the elusive junonia and appearing in the local paper.
