Island artist mentors Child Artist
Southwest Florida Children’s Charities announced that Remi Roland is the 2026 Southwest Florida Wine & Food Fest Child Artist. Under the guidance of Sanibel artist Rachel Pierce, her original piece, titled “I Want to See the World,” will be on display and available at the auction on Feb. 28 at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa in Bonita Springs. Funds raised will support efforts to provide and enhance treatment and services for pediatric patients and families at the Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida. Parents Chef Brian and Nicole Roland, owners of Crave Culinaire by Chef Brian Roland, have supported regional charity organizations for years, including Southwest Florida Children’s Charities and the Golisano Children’s Hospital, where Remi was treated on several occasions in her first four years. The Child Artist program allows young patients who benefited from treatment to take an active role in raising money.
