City seeks community members for focus group
The city of Sanibel reported that it is developing a Strategic Energy Plan to strengthen the community’s energy resilience, focusing on future energy needs, post-disaster recovery and improving everyday energy efficiency.
It is looking for residents and members of the business community to participate in the Strategic Energy Plan Focus Group. Those who live or work on Sanibel are eligible for it. From March through September, the group will meet virtually on the second Thursday of each month from 2 to 3 p.m.
Additional public workshops will be held for those who just want to provide input.
“Help us plan for a stronger, more resilient energy future for Sanibel!” the city shared. “We look forward to your participation.”
Those interested in joining the Strategic Energy Plan Focus Group need to contact Ashlee Painter at ashlee.painter@mysanibel.com by March 9.
